We have seen various cell phones in Vertu’s product catalogue over the years, all of them made from all manner of ultra-expensive materials you can imagine, but they all have something in common and this is one and the same candybar form factor. Perhaps, this is about to change though, because a recent rumor has it the manufacturer is working on a new model, called the Vertu Constellation F with the letter F standing for nothing else, but “Folding”. Similarly to other Vertu handsets, the Constellation F will be made of stainless steel and covered in leather top to bottom. Moreover, it´s expected to come in several different versions, some of them sporting precious metal elements. Aside from the new form factor, the phone will be equipped with a built-in GPS and this is not something we see often with luxury handsets. All other features are pretty much standard – 2.4-inch display with native resolution of 320×480 pixels, 1.36-inch external display, 8GB built-in memory and 3-megapixel camera with photo flash. Our source claims the Vertu Constellation F will be usable anywhere in the world and the word goes the phone will also come with Wi-Fi support. The handset will supposedly hit the shelves this fall and you will be able to get yourself one at the decent price of $7,770.
