Verizon Wireless announced the Salute, the first phone the carrier has launched from ZTE USA.

The Salute sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch screen, Bluetooth, VZ Navigator, and support for the mobile web. It also comes with a Social Beat application for those that use Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace.

The Verizon Wireless Salute is available  from Verizon Wireless for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate.
