U.S. Cellular announced a new flip phone created by Personal Communication Devices (PCD), the CDM8635. The CDM8635 offers a 2.2-inch main display, a 1.5-inch mono external display, 1GB of flash, 512MB of RAM, and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
It’s designed with four dedicated shortcut keys to quickly zoom, launch the speakerphone, set your alarm, or view picture albums. The CDM8635 is also capable of reading menu messages, provides voice dialing, and also offers a noise suppressor for clearer call quality.
The 99mm x 50.8mm x 20.3mm (3.9in x 2in x 0.8in) CDM8635 comes with a 920mAh battery that’s rated for 4.1 hours of talk time. U.S. Cellular will begin selling the phone in retail locations and online. Pricing was not announced.
