If for some reason you or someone in your life needs a Galaxy S II that really stands out from the pack, you’re in luck. It seems that a pink version of the Galaxy S II will be hitting the UK just in time for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the pink device will be making its way to the United States but, as always, we’ll keep you posted.

Last week we reported that several new Samsung devices were uncovered in an APK and the Samsung Wave 3 was one of the devices. Now it appears that the Wave 3 will not be the only Bada phone Samsung will be unveiling as it will be joined by the Wave M and the Wave Y, with all three handset expected to be running on Bada 2.0 and will also come pre-installed with ChatON, Samsung’s upcoming multi-platform IM service.

The Samsung Wave 3 features a 1.4GHz single-core Samsung Exynos processor, a 4” Super AMOLED touchscreen, built-in 3GB flash memory, microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB with a 5MP camera on the back.

The Samsung Wave M is powered by a 832MHz CPU, featuring a 3.65” touchscreen with 150MB built-in memory and comes pre-loaded with a 2GB microSD card that is expandable up to 32GB. It appears that if you wish to have NFC technology in the Wave M, you will be required to inform the retailer beforehand.

Last but not least is the Samsung Wave Y, which features a 3.2” touchscreen with a 832MHz CPU. It will also feature a 2MP camera on the back, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, ChatON, Social Hub, and will sport a metallic body.

Unfortunately no word on pricing or availability, but we expect more details to be revealed at IFA.

Samsung speeds up the Smarter Life with LTE versions of the GALAXY S II and GALAXY Tab 8.9

The Samsung Conquer 4G is a WiMax enabled Android handset that you won’t confuse for say, the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G. There is the matter of that 3.5 inch screen with resolution of 320 x 480. And the Qualcomm MSM8655 1GHz single-core processor is so 2010. On the back is a 3.2MP camera that was hot stuff back in the days of the LG Dare. Yet, the Samsung Conquer 4G isn’t totally designed for the Flintstone-era. Android 2.3 is installed and there is a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Of course, with 4G in the name of the phone, the handset is enabled for WiMax coverage. The Swype keyboard comes with the phone right out of the box.

Priced at $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a signed 2-year contract, the Samsung Conquer 4G appears just in time to give your kid going off to college, or for the first-time smartphone user unsure if he/she can handle all of those widgets and apps. The off-contract price is $399.99. Either way, you are getting Gingerbread and 4G connectivity for only $100. At a time when the price bar for new Android phones has been moved higher than the $199.99 that we have been accustomed to, the Samsung Conquer 4G has a refreshing price tag on the device-as long as you don’t mind some out of date specs.

Besides having to pay an unsubsidized price for the phone, you could also be missing out on certain design changes. For example, as we reported, the Samsung Hercules is expected to come to T-Mobile and there is speculation that the phone-with its larger 4.5 inch display-is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II for the nation’s fourth largest carrier.

We recently told you that speculation was centering on Verizon becoming the first carrier to offer the Samsung Galaxy S II with a possible August 12th launch date. With that day increasingly becoming more unlikely for the release of this summer’s hottest smartphone, the most likely scenario now is a September launch. And don’t forget, the recently leaked Verizon roadmap mentioned a September launch of the Samsung Stratosphere, a phone with specs that exactly match those of the Galaxy S II.

Will word come of the LTE-toting, ivory dream phone we’ve been lusting after? Probably not, but getting the baddest black Android on the planet is still pretty darn good.

Unlocking bootloaders has already become the new fancy with manufacturers like HTC, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson jumping on the bandwagon, but this is the first time we’ve heard of a company doling out free devices to the custom ROM community. Does this mean that, instead of enforcing TouchWiz with an iron fist, Samsung is looking at how this practice could actually benefit consumers? We doubt this will be the case for all of the company’s future Android phones, but wouldn’t you love to live in a world where it was?

Samsung’s svelte superphone with the dazzling 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display is launching May 15th on AT&T for $200 on a two-year contract. Keep it locked right here, as more pics and a hands-on with Sammy’s hot new handset are on the way.

Behind that sizable screen real estate, the Infuse 4G packs HSDPA Cat 14 and HSUPA Cat 6 radios, a 2GB microSD card, 1.2 GHz processor, and Android 2.2. Sammy also gave it an 8-megapixel camera in the back that does 720p video and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter – all in a handset that’s 9.24mm thick in the bulge at the bottom and 8.9mm thin most everywhere else.

The three phones are aimed at the low-end Russian market – the cheapest of which will sell for 2000 rubles ($75 or so) and the priciest for 4000 rubles (under $150).

The three new phones are called E1182, E2232 and C3322 – sorry, but no catchy names for those three…

The Samsung C3322 is the most expensive of the bunch (4000 rubles or $150) and has a metal body with a 2.2” display, a 2MP camera, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD slot. It offers SNS integration as well. Samsung haven’t put up a photo for this one yet.

The Samsung E2232 has a microSD slot, a 3.5mm audio jack and a dedicated key for easy access to the music player. By the looks of it, there’s a flashlight too. The planned price for this model is 2700 rubles ($100).

Finally, the Samsung E1182 goes for rock-bottom pricing and offers 11 hours of talk time and nearly 26 days of standby. The phone weighs just 68g, packs an FM radio and will cost just 2000 rubles ($75).

These phones are planned for a May introduction to the Russian market and they all support dual-standby for both SIM cards.
