We assume most of the other specs remain the same: the phone clearly shows an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video, it has a 4.3-inch qHD display, and support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Unfortunately there’s still no word on a possible release date, but let’s hope the BIONIC’s battery life is better than Verizon’s other 4G phones. Hit the jump for two more images.

You can get the update on your Motorola Droid Pro by hitting the Systems buttons and going to “System update” for an over-the-air update.

While it’s not a major update, you will get:

• Improved audio on voice calls.
• Improved stability and performance.
• User interface display now refreshes when user switches from GSM/UMTS communication to Global Mode.
• Device now prepends 011 to Country Code to send SMS messages.
• Global Mode no longer resets when connecting to a USB charger.
• Visual Voice Mail now detects airplane mode while Wi-Fi is active.
• Prompt return to full screen brightness after wake-up.
• Upgraded Bluetooth firmware.
• Improved interoperability with Microsoft Internet Application Gateway (IAG) configurations.
• Device string format for Exchange changed to include device name and version number.
• Upgrade to Google applications Release 7.

Other Improvements:

• Improved audio during voice calls.
• Reduced user interface lock-ups.

Of course, the real question is: where is Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Motorola Droid Pro and the company’s other devices? Even the high-powered Atrix 4G is running Froyo and, while that’s not a bad version of the platform by any means, many users want the latest version of the software now.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread hit in December of 2010 and you have to wonder if Google should work with its partners more to get these updates out earlier. We should see devices like the Xperia Arc land with Gingerbread but we may actually see the next version of Android at Google I/O before that hits U.S. shelves.

The DROID Charge is graced with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen and has a 1GHz processor pushing things along. It has an 8 megapixel camera with flash on the rear and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.

Samsung and Verizon have not released too many other details as far as the specifications of the DROID Charge go, but the expected release date is April 28, so we should be seeing more information soon. The list price for the Charge is $299.99 with a new two-year agreement, putting it in rarefied air with the 32GB iPhone and not many other smartphones. Verizon Wireless is holding a scavenger contest where Twitter users can follow online clues to find hidden DROID Charge smartphones in 16 different locations in cities across the country.

The appearance of the Charge on WalMart’s site should at least signal a pre-order of some sort, but there are rumors that the handset could drop as soon as tomorrow.  If said rumor does turn out to be true, it’ll be interesting to see how it’s priced, as the retailer routinely offers many handsets at a discounted rate, compared to direct carrier pricing. Seeing as the price of the Charge could be somewhere towards $300, a discount of any sort would be appreciated for some potential buyers.

The Charge is a powerful handset that could be considered one of Samsung’s most impressive Android smartphones to date. The Charge will most certainly be eclipsed by the Galaxy S 2, but with no announcement for the US availability, the Charge will be the best you’ll get until we hear otherwise.

The Charge should easily meet the needs of power users, offering up a 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus display, 4G/LTE support, 8 megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting. Putting the single-core Hummingbird processor in such an otherwise powerful handset is a bit disappointing, but it’s still up to snuff for a single-core CPU.

What’s been a major challenge for the HTC Thunderbolt is the battery life when using Verizon’s LTE network, and one can only hope that Samsung’s new handset won’t be affected by the same issues. Realistically, it likely will, but we can remain hopefully, right? Right.

Verizon’s upcoming Android lineup is stunning to say the least, offering up both high-end 3G and 4G LTE phones. We still have to see Droid Incredible 2 and Bionic before Verizon can call it a day, but some of you may already have your hearts set on the Charge.

Android 2.2 Froyo, a 3.1-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen and advanced security features are also part of the deal on the Motorola Pro, with special emphasis on password protection, remote tracking and remote wipe functionality. Remote VPN connectivity is also enabled.

Among other features, this QWERTY candybar has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash, 1GHz TI OMAP processor and 8GB of internal storage topped with a microSD card slot. There’s an Adobe Flash 10.1 capable browser as well. So it basically means the entertainment part is duly covered, along with the business side of things.

Release dates are still unknown and there’s no word on price either. We’ll post new information as soon as it’s available. We also hope to spend some quality time with the Pro at the Motorola booth at the MWC 2011.

Sporting a bigger screen but less memory that the Motorola ATRIX on AT&T, the DROID BIONIC is a high-end device which will probably find itself competing head-on with whatever next-generation iPhone Apple have up their sleeves.

Like the ATRIX, the DROID BIONIC has a quarter HD “qHD” 960 x 540 pixel display, but in this case it is a large 4.3″ panel, which is 50% larger than the iPhone 4. Although the very high resolution “retina” display on the iPhone 4 does have a 15% higher pixel count than the Motorola, the DROID BIONIC is easily better than most of the rest of the competition.

Dual core technology is something that Apple cannot match at the moment, although there will almost definitely be an upgrade to the iPhone 4 this year which may incorporate it. Internal memory is a generous 512MB of RAM, although at the moment we do not know how much flash memory the DROID BIONIC comes with.

On the back is an 8 megapixel primary camera with a secondary front-facing camera for video calling. The DROID BIONIC is capable of HD video capture and playback, and it also comes with a built-in HDMI port.

Motorola haven’t said which version of Android the DROID BIONIC will ship with, but the Adobe Flash capabilities mean that it must be at least Android 2.2.

This is a LTE-enabled “4G” device, giving access to Verizon’s newly launched high-speed network. There aren’t many 4G handsets around at present, and LTE support certainly gives the DROID BIONIC another advantage over its Apple rival.

Verizon is a key market for Motorola in the US. Currently there is no version of the iPhone for this network, so a large proportion of smartphones sold on Verizon are Motorola DROID series devices. In many respects the DROID BIONIC leapfrogs Apple’s popular handset, but we expect to see an announcement from Apple about future iPhone developments in the next few months.

Therefore we’re not really surprised to see giant retailers like Amazon or Best Buy sell the smartphone for a lot less, although the new prices are only available when signing a new deal with Verizon for two more years.

Amazon is selling the Motorola Droid Pro for just $19.99 while Best Buy will ask you to pay $49.99 for the same Android 2.2 handset. The Motorola Droid is definitely a great smartphone and happens to be the first Motorola-made Android machine to combine a full touchscreen display and a full, portrait, QWERTY keyboard.

Our Indian readers always ask us that when the Droid X is coming to India, and it looks like that the Droid X is about to hit India.Rumors are on the street that Motorola is launching the Droid X in India, but not as Droid X because it’s Verizon branding. If Motorola is launching it in India, then it will be known as Milestone X or Motoroi X. It’s rumored that the device will hit India later this month, and the rumored launch date is 25th November. The Droid X features 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 8MP camera with dual LED flash on the back, Android 2.2, 1GHz processor and a lot of other goodness. So our Indian fellows, it’s just a rumor so take it with a grain of salt. We’ll try our best to keep you updated.

They call the sculpted back cover design of the DROID Incredible “topographic” which they claim makes it easier than ever to stay connected. The 3.7 inch WVGA (480×800) AMOLED capacitive touch display is the same size as the Nexus One.  The DROID Incredible also has Optical joystick, proximity sensor, light sensor and digital compass. Integrated GPS, Wi-Fi and 3.5 mm headset jack.

DROID Incredible by HTC features the newest version of the HTC Sense with a seven-panel home screen with a wide selection of interactive widgets.  Exchange ActiveSync, allows for quick and easy access to Flickr for sharing and viewing pictures or video.  Friend Stream unifies Flickr, Facebook and Twitter updates.

DROID Incredible will be available for pre-order online, beginning on April 19 and it will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on April 29. Pricing will be $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. I’m not too sure what to think of the Motorola Motus yet, but one thing is for sure: that form factor is crazy. The photo that leaked just a few hours ago already seemed to indicate that something weird was going on with the keyboard (with what seems like a tiny sliver of overlap, how the heck is it attached?), but these (alleged) specs just make things even more ridiculous.

The specs, uncovered by them crazy Wimberly brothers over at AndroidAndMe, are all just hearsay for the time being – so arm yourself with however many grains of salt you need to sleep soundly tonight. Here goes:

It’s all well and good for the first few items – 528 mhz CPU, 512 MB ROM, WiFi, Android 1.5 w/ Motoblur… nothing too crazy. But then you get to the last two items: “Reverse flip keyboard”? Uh, what?

Then it gets better: “Rear directional touchpad”. From the sound of things (with these “things” being totally unconfirmed), the Motus might be rocking some form of crazy touchpad on the back of the device. This is an idea thats been thrown around for a few years — type with the thumbs, navigate with your fingers on the back of the device — but, as far as I know, this would be the first time it’s made it into a major product.
