If for some reason you or someone in your life needs a Galaxy S II that really stands out from the pack, you’re in luck. It seems that a pink version of the Galaxy S II will be hitting the UK just in time for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the pink device will be making its way to the United States but, as always, we’ll keep you posted.

Based on the name itself, you can more or less guess what it does. The app now apparently collects data on you, such as logging the apps that you’ve installed, the amount of time spent on each app, open intent and even collects location data. The collected data is said to be then sent to a cloud where HTC or other companies will be able to use the information for their own purposes.

Based on the data collected it appears that the data will most probably be used to filter content and collect behavioral data on apps – what they’re used for and how long they’re used for which will most likely end up being used for marketing purposes. Either way it feels kind of creepy, and the kicker is that according to your phone’s legal notice (Settings > About Phone > Legal > HTC Legal), you have agreed to this.

The good news is that TrevE and Team Synergy have released a ROM that has removed the spyware, but that would mean you would have to root your device if you haven’t already. Head on down to XDA’s forums for more information about the ROM and how to install it.

For those of you not in the know, the HTC Bliss is HTC’s attempt at capturing the women’s market – by pumping out a mediocre-spec’d Android phone that comes loaded with software designed for women. Update: As pointed out by Mark Levin in comments, it turns out the Beluga team did indeed have a hand in the development of the app.

The phone — a follow-up to the original myTouch 4G that launched last year — reportedly sports a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 3.7-inch WVGA display, support for 1080p HD video recording, a forward-facing camera for video chats, 768MB of RAM and, as its name implies, support for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. T-Mobile has been tight lipped on the myTouch 4G Slide, but the increasing leaks certainly suggest that the phone’s release is imminent. Hit the jump for a few more images.

As far the feel, the device is extremely solid and we’re loving the futuristic styling of the design, complete with angled corners. Also, the glossy bezel contrasts beautifully with the rubberized soft-touch case back. The phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and felt incredibly snappy during the time we spent with it. The Motorola Photon 4G is scheduled to launch this summer, though pricing information has not yet been announced. Don’t let that get you down, though — we have a gallery full of hands-on photos below!

Sharp has built plenty of Sidekicks before, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see it get in on the Android game and re-enter the U.S. market. We just hope it has more beefy hardware muscle to make any future offerings even more compelling than the already solid Sidekick 4G.

Similar to the DROID Pro that was released on Verizon Wireless last year, the XPRT features a 3.1-inch, HVGA touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixels of resolution. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard and a 1GHz processor. It runs Android 2.2 Froyo and features Motorola’s custom MOTOBLUR interface. Adobe Flash 10 support is present as well.

The XPRT’s claim to fame is the 256-bit encryption and controls for data management. IT departments will have the ability to remotely handle enabling PIN or password lock, password recovery, and data wipe on both the phone and the SD card in the event the XPRT gets lost or stolen from the end-user.

The XPRT is also capable of roaming globally, and features a 5 megapixel camera with a dual-LED flash. Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support are present as well. A large 1860mAh battery should power the XPRT through a whole day, though Sprint has not released any expected battery claims.

The Motorola XPRT is due to hit shelves on June 5, and will cost $129.99 with a new two-year agreement.

Now LG is bringing the dual screen QWERTY clamshell form factor back in the shape of the “Genesis”. According to Android Central  it runs Android 2.2, has an external 3.5 inch touch screen, an internal 3.2 inch touch screen, both have a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 5 megapixel camera, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and a whopping 1500 mAh battery. It’ll launch on US Cellular, but a release date and price tag have yet to be revealed.

Now raise your hand if you think the Genesis is a stupid idea. Screens aren’t exactly cheap, so this thing is going to cost a bit more than your average smartphone. That and why couldn’t LG think up a hinge design similar to that found in tablet PCs that can convert between slate and full blown laptop mode? If this thing hits the market and fails to sell, we’re not going to be shocked. In fact, we hope US Cellular rethinks their decision to offer this heinous looking thing and instead wait for handset makers to come up with a more refined QWERTY packing Android device. We’ve got high hopes for the as yet to be revealed HTC Doubleshot, but without renders all we have is our imagination to think of what it’ll look like.
