Nokia says the C2-01 is its most inexpensive new 3G phone, and it hopes the device provides 3G connectivity in 3G areas where people haven’t used it before. The device also features a 3.2MP camera, a two-inch display, an FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and microSD card support for cards up to 16GB in capacity. Unlike the original C2-00, the C2-01 is a single SIM device.

Nokia Messaging is also supported on the phone, as is threaded SMS chat. The Ovi Store and Ovi Music are also on board, and Ovi Life Tools will be available in select markets.

Nokia expects to sell the C2-01 during the first quarter of 2011 for around EUR70 ($96).

T-Mobile did sell the original Pearl and it’s weird to hear the carrier isn’t willing to pick up the 3G version of this popular phone. T-Mobile is rumored to skip the Pearl in favor of a Curve 3G handset that should arrive at some point in the future.

RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now available for sale at T-Mobile retail stores and online. The smartphone launched in late October and features a stylish design and full-QWERTY keyboard.

The 9700′s 624MHz processor and 256MB of internal memory should run applications with ease and the phone’s 1500mAh battery promises 6 hours of talk time. The new BlackBerry also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, aGPS technology, 3G and WiFi connectivity, and more.

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 is available from T-Mobile for $199.99 with a two-year customer agreement or for $449.99 without contract.

Sony Ericsson has launched the availability of their latest mobile device via T-Mobile USA with the Sony Ericsson Equinox. The Equinox is a new chic handset that features pulsating night effects that make sure you don’t miss a call or text message paired with an interactive 3G and its built-in GPS system. Other features of this latest Sony Ericsson mobile phone include a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, and gesture controls that allow users to reject calls or put the phone in silent mode with one wave of the hand. The Sony Ericssson Equinox will also be officially available online by October 28, 2009.

If you’re living in the UK and looking for a nice pre-paid handset then you should definitely check out the T-Mobile Pulse. This phone has recently been put up for sale as a pre-paid device for T-Mobile UK and is available now.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic seems to have it all – large 3.2″ touchscreen display, 3G and Wi-Fi support and even a GPS receiver aboard. The cute Nokia 5530 XpressMusic kept only the Wi-Fi, its display shrank to 2.9 inches and the battery capacity was decreased to 1000 mAh but the device costs considerably less than its smarter bro. Then the 5230 was introduced. And now we’ve got some live shots of it.

When it comes to the recently announced Nokia 5230, the situation with the specs is only a tad different. It shares the same design and touchscreen with the 5800 XpressMusic and just like it comes with a built-in GPS receiver, 3G capabilities and a promising 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery. There is no support for Wi-Fi, though, and instead of the 3.15 autofocus snapper of 5800 XpressMusic you’ll get a 2-megapixel fixed focus one. Well, at least it can take VGA videos at 30 fps.

Even if our source predicts that the Nokia 5230 will hit the market some time in January 2010, we believe that the actual launch will take part sooner than expected – Nokia promised that the device will become available during the last quarter of this year. By the way, Nokia 5230 showed up on the Italian operator TIM online shop page several days ago and the price they set is 189 euro. Not bad, huh?

TVCatchup has finally unveiled its iPhone site – allowing you to log on and watch streamed live television in the UK.

The service, which the providers insist is legal, can stream non-flash video to the iphone from the iphone.tvcatchup.com address.

This is accessible through the iPhone’s Safari browser, so the service does not need to clear Apple’s stringent apps policy.

UK only

The service will only work within the UK, and the streams will run over both Wi-Fi and, interestingly, through 3G as well.

Should the service prove popular, it remains to be seen how much of a strain the streaming service will put on the networks’ infrastructure.

The BBC iPlayer is available on the iPhone but only when there is a WiFi connection.

It’s not only Verizon that announced a new Nokia phone today (the Nokia 2705 Shade), as AT&T went official with the Nokia 6350, too.

The 6350 is a rather simple flip phone with features that include: HSDPA connectivity, external music keys, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Video Share, web browser, email, 2MP camera and a battery that can last up to 4 hours in talk-time mode.

Nokia 6350 will be offered by AT&T starting October 4, in two color versions: red and graphite.

AT&T’s new Nokia phone is quite affordable: it will cost only $29.99 with a contract agreement for 2 years.

Nokia N900 is already on pre-order in the US, but its official release date in the States is still unknown.

However, The Nokia Blog has it that a major US distributor will receive the new Maemo-based device on September 27, and start offering it a few days later.

The N900 will be sold at the pre-order price – $649.

Since the smartphone (or Internet Tablet, if you want to call it that way) has quad-band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and tri-band WCDMA (900 / 1700 / 2100) connectivity, it will work on T-Mobile’s network. Of course, it can also be used with AT&T, but without 3G.

Nokia N900 US September 27 ?

Coming as Nokia’s first Maemo-based device to have phone capabilities, the N900 features a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM transmitter, stereo speakers, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP Carl Zeiss camera with video recording, and 32GB of internal memory (expandable with a MicroSD card).

Nokia recently said that it supports carrier customization for its Maemo products, so we shouldn’t be surprised if T-Mobile USA will soon offer the N900 on contract.
