One of the most interesting BlackBerry smartphones coming this year, when it comes to the general design, is the BlackBerry 9670 clamshell smartphone that’s been spotted in various leaks so far. A more recent shot, available here, shows the device with distinct Sprint markings all over it, which must only mean that Verizon is not going to be the exclusive carrier for this handset.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800, launched just a while ago, happens to be RIM’s first slider BlackBerry but it’s only available in AT&T stores for now. So Verizon and Sprint employees will feast on the 9670 instead.
The BlackBerry 9670 has not been officially announced yet but we already know it is going to feature two large displays, one external and one internal, a full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad support, BlackBerry OS 6.0 support and lots of other BlackBerry-like features. No prices have been announced for now, but we’re yet to see RIM make the clamshell device official before we see what carrier sells it first in the USA.
