A new Android handset is heading to Sprint and this time around it’s coming from Motorola. The i1, a PTT phone we talked about before, is going to be available in Sprint stores on July 25.
The phone will cost $149.99 with a two-year contract but that’s the price after a $50 mail-in rebate. The phone will come with features like a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, Android 1.5 and push-to-talk support.
The Motorola i1 will be the “the first Android-powered smartphone to include Nextel Direct Connect technology” in the world and will come with support for extended usage under extreme conditions. The phone will withstand shocks, dust, vibration and rain so you’ll be able to successfully use it to help you through the day, no matter what conditions you’re currently working in.
