Even as smartphones make a bigger and bigger impact in today’s cell phone industry, there will always be room for another feature phone. And, obviously, Samsung knows that they still have a large playing spot in the feature phone market. Samsung have officially unveiled the SHW-A110, which is heading to South Korea soon, and it adds a bit of flair to the portrait slider class of devices.
The SHW-A110 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 2MP camera on the back, and 3G for both SK Telecom (model number, A110S) and KT (A110K) wireless carriers in the region. It’s also got a front-facing VGA camera. You’ll also get T-DMB and Subway maps pre-installed on the device.
It doesn’t seem to have the company’s TouchWiz User Interface (UI), but from the stock render we’ve got here, that could easily be a feature just not listed. There’s probably a media player on board, considering its feature phone lineage. Plus, there’s a MicroSD card slot, so obviously the company intends for you to put some other kind of media on there, besides just pictures. If you’re in South Korea, then you should expect to see this devices soon, and probably relatively cheap.
