India has received several Android handsets, including the expensive Samsung Galaxy S. And now, Samsung is bringing their affordable Android handsets to India; the Samsung Galaxy 5 (i5503) and Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5801). The Samsung Galaxy 5 and Samsung Galaxy 3 had launched in Italy and UK as Corby smartphone and Samsung Apollo.
The Samsung 5 features a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, 2MP camera, Touch Wiz UI 3.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 600MHz processor, 3.5mm headset jack, and MicroSD card support. The handset will cost 10,2000 INR which is $220. 
The Samsung 3 features a 3.2 inch WQVGA multi-touch display, 3.2MP autofocus camera with video recording, TouchWiz 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, 3.5mm headset jack, DNSe, accelerometer, proximity sensor, MicroSD card support, and a 667MHz processor. The handset will cost 12,300 INR which is $265. Both devices runs on Android 2.1.
