Samsung Champ has finally found its place in India’s retail stores. We’ve first talked about the entry-level all-touchscreen device back in May of this year. I’m not sure why it took so long for Samsung to introduce it, but whatever the reason is – the good news is that it’s here now.
As you may know, the Champ comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, EDGE data, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, FM radio, media player, dual speakers with 3D sound effects, 3.5mm headset jack, 1000 mAh battery that’s good for 12 hours of talk and 600 hours of standby time, 30MB of internal memory that’s further expandable with microSD cards.
In other words, it’s like the Samsung Corby, just cheaper and in that sense I’ve no doubts the Korean company will manage to move quite a few units in the ever-growing mobile phone market of India.
Price wise, the Champ has a price tag of Rs.4000-4100 and is available in few color options – black, white, brown and pink.
