Samsung has announced a brand new handset that also happens to double as a pico projector. The Samsung AMOLED Beam SPH-W9600 projector phone has been made official and it will certainly prove to be a very interesting choice for the busy professional.
The phone comes with a 3.3-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera, 9 lumen projector module ready to throw 50-inch images whenever needed. Other features include DMB digital TV tuner, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, front-facing camera for video calls, 11GB of onboard memory and support for up to 16GB extra storage space via microSD card.
The Beam SPH-W9600 comes with a 1,200 mAh battery which will certainly get you through your most important presentations and it measures just 56 x 116 x 15.7mm. The projector phone comes with DivX video support, Poly 65, MP3 and CMS audio file support so it will be able to play most of your favorite multimedia files too.
We have no pricing details at this point but expect the phone to cost just a little more when not bundled with new contracts since it also doubles as a projector.
