Motorola is finally bringing the GSM version of the Droid 2 to Europe. UK will be among the first markets (after Germany) to get Moto’s highly desirable smartphone and folks there will even get it with Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed, which is a cool touch.

AT&T announced the R225, a new device that is available on its GoPhone prepaid plans.
The R225, made by ZTE, has a very basic set of features. It has an alphanumeric keypad just below its 1.8-inch 160 x 128 resolution display. A Flash file showing a full 360-degree view of the HTC Merge for Verizon Wireless has been leaked.
Little is officially known about the Merge, but it's clear it offers a touchscreen and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It also appears to be running HTC's Sense user interface. The back of the phone has a metal-looking panel as well as a camera with a single LED flash.

As expected, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available in white on Rogers. That’ll pair up nicely with the white Bold 9780 that Rogers will be launching in good time. Bell will have a red 9800 if you’re not digging the white. We first really caught word of the HTC Knight back when its release date was leaked, but didn’t know a whole lot about the handset. U.S. Cellular and LG announced the Apex, an Android 2.1 smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The Apex is equipped with a 3.2-inch 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen display. It has a 3 megapixel camera with flash that's capable of recording video in a 640 x 480 resolution. LG says its 1,500mAh battery should be good for up to 7 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.

As expected, T-Mobile has launched the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for $129.99 on a two-year contract.
These are the first guys in the U.S. to actually start selling the refreshed Bold, but we can expect AT&T to launch theirs shortly too. Telus and Bell are already selling the 9780 up here in Canada, but Rogers seems to be having some trouble getting theirs out the door.
