Today Motorola announced the ES400, a new enterprise digital assistant (EDA) that the company will sell through Motorola, Sprint, and other members of the PartnerEmpower network channel.
The Windows Mobile 6.5.3 device runs on Sprint’s 3G network and is the first mobile computer to be carrier-branded and sold to enterprises through Sprint’s Direct and Business Solutions Partners. It offers a 3-inch VGA display, one button scanning of 1D and 2D bar codes, 802.11a/b/g connectivity, and an application for push-to-talk over VoIP. The phone also meets MIL-STD 8210G drop specifications , and as a GPS, a camera, and a 3-axis accelerometer.
The ES400 will be available later this year, but pricing for the phone has not yet been announced.
