HTC’s newly announced Sensation will be coming to T-Mobile later this year as the HTC Sensation 4G. The Sensation 4G is the U.S. version of the HTC Sensation with a 4.3-inch screen and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor.
The Sensation 4G is the same hardware-wise as the Sensation for Europe. That means a 4.3-inch screen is Super LCD touchscreen with an impressive qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It retains the unibody aluminum construction and contoured glass screen. The 8 megapixel rear camera has autofocus and a dual-LED flash, and is capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The front of the phone sports a 1.2 megapixel camera for video calling. The whole show is run by Qualcomm’s new 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor.
The Sensation 4G will also have the latest version of HTC’s Sense interface that was debuted running atop Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Users can customize their lock screens in a number of ways to display information such as local weather, pictures, stock data, and more. Apps can be launched directly from the lock screen as well for a quicker experience.
The Sensation 4G is expected to arrive later this summer at a to-be-announced price.
