Today Google announced that it has released a new version of the Google Mobile App for the Microsoft Windows Mobile smartphone platform. The new application adds My Location and Google Suggest support to the search service. My Location automatically determines what area a user is located in so that localized search results can be returned (think “pizza”). Google Suggest reduces the number of keystrokes required for search queries by automatically suggesting complete search phrases that can be easily selected.
The suggestions system also has Google Maps integration, so that localized suggestions with a red pin icon shown after them can be brought up in Google Maps (if installed) just by clicking on the pin icon.
