After being delayed a bit by Nokia, the Maemo 5-based N900 is now almost ready to hit the market. In the UK, customers will be able to buy the Nokia N900 starting November 16 and, depending on the contract and data plan they choose, they can get the smartphone even for free. Nokia will say goodbye to N-Gage in 2010
Launched in the first half of 2008, Nokia’s N-Gage mobile gaming platform will end its life sooner than everyone has probably thought. Nokia has just announced that N-Gage.com and the N-Gage Arena will stop being operational after 2010, while N-Gage games will be available for purchase until September 2010 only. The reason for all this is Nokia’s new Ovi Store, which, apart from providing various apps, Maps and Music, will act ... Read More
Nokia’s Illuvial Collection is pretty in pink
We're not sure why the color pink tends to spawn special editions with greater frequency than other colors, but for pink lovers, it works out pretty nicely because you end up getting all sorts of free crap bundled with your phone simply for buying your favorite shade. Take Nokia's new Illuvial Collection, for example, which has taken the 5530, 6303, and 6700, dressed them up in a very hot shade ... Read More

Nokia is the world's top cellphone maker and while the iPhone has had great success in the U.S. and overseas, the company is much larger than Apple. The patents ... Read More
Nokia N900 not coming until some time in November
We've just heard some pretty sour news. Peter Schneider, head of Maemo marketing, has waxed official about the N900's release and quite casually noted that it'll "start shipping during November 2009," which as you very well know is a whole month later than originally expected. An interesting tidbit to his post is that he notes Nokia had lent out 300 pre-production units to the community, and he stresses the importance ... Read More
Nokia 5230 poses for some live shots before it heads for the stores
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic seems to have it all - large 3.2" touchscreen display, 3G and Wi-Fi support and even a GPS receiver aboard. The cute Nokia 5530 XpressMusic kept only the Wi-Fi, its display shrank to 2.9 inches and the battery capacity was decreased to 1000 mAh but the device costs considerably less than its smarter bro. Then the 5230 was introduced. And now we've got some live shots of ... Read More
