The handset is pretty attractive in terms of looks and the curved glass display is pretty nice too. Although the handset is pretty fast, there have been mixed reactions from users about the battery life of the device with some stocking up on a  spare battery.

The India launch of the Nexus S has been making noise for quite sometime now and we are surprised about this piece of news when the world is waiting for the Galaxy S2 from Samsung.  We do not know if this is going to be just a temporary measure till the Galaxy S2 is ready to hit stores or there are plenty of unsold units. India never got the Nexus One so the Nexus S is surely welcome. We are not sure if Samsung managed to get Google’s seal of approval for the launch in India. April 1st week is not far away ,  so we should be finding out soon.

It looks like Google is planning to launch Nexus S under AT&T branding, because a new device has showed up in the Bluetooth SIG product list, and the model number is GT-i9020A. As most of you may know, the original model number of the Nexus S is GT-i9020, and the one T-Mobile is offering is GT-i9020T. It seems that the “T” in the end represents T-Mobile, and the “A” in GT-i9020A is maybe representing AT&T. So it means that the device is headed to AT&T.

Mobilicity Canada also announced that they will launch the Nexus S soon as well as other major Canadian carriers will also launch it. As we know that Canadian carriers have the same 3G and GSM bands as AT&T, so that also suggests that the Nexus S will hit AT&T too. So folks, stay tuned because I am sure that Google and Samsung will clear the air soon!

And for Android fans, Google and Samsung recently launched the Google Nexus S, which is for sure one of the best Android devices available in the market at the moment. You may have seen the Nexus S, and it’s in black color, but what about a Google Nexus S with some white beauty? Yes folks, you heard it right. It’s not all white like the White iPhone 4, only the back cover is in white, just like the iPhone 3GS.

They are saying that the phone will be launched in Germany soon, but that doesn’t mean that the phone is exclusive to Germany only. I hope the device will be launched in the other parts of the world soon.

Apparently, the 42-inch Google Nexus S is not meant for sale. It’s used as a promotional unit, being displayed at the in a Best Buy store located in the small city of San Carlos, California which is about 20 miles due south of San Francisco.

The largest Google Nexus S has a functional 42-inch touchscreen display, a working camera and Internet connectivity. The giant Nexus S is a functional phone and actually powered by a real Google Nexus S that is connected through a special video out connection.

The 42-inch phone is meant to draw customer attention and it should have attracted many curious customers. Currently, the giant Nexus S is just for a test according to the Google reps. If this works well for drawing more customers, it’ll be rolled out to more BestBuy outlets.

The first Gingerbread-powered smartphone, the Samsung-made Google Nexus S, has been selling since 16 December  over in the USA and today it’s scheduled to launch in Europe. The device should become available in the Carphone Warehouse UK any time now (currently, it’s still out of stock).

The price in the UK was first said to be £550 (around €650) but apparently we weren’t the only ones that thought it was quite steep so Google decided to cut it down to £430 (nearly €510). This sounds way more reasonable (even if its way higher than the US SIM-free price of the Nexus S, $529 or €400).

So, if you feel like buying (yourself) a nice high-tech gift, hit the source link and pre-order it. It should arrive by the end of December.

The Google Nexus S starts off with an excellent technology base (the Samsung Galaxy S) and builds on top of that – the specs sound great on paper and it got positive nods in early previews.

But all that gadget power is sure heavy on the wallet – UK’s Carphone Warehouse offers a SIM-free Nexus S for £550 (€657, $870). Of course, you have the option to get it for free on a two-year contract for £35-a-month.

The Google Nexus S should ship by the end of December (the initial estimate was December 20) and it’s available for all major UK operators with plenty of plans to choose from. The only little perk is that it’s exclusively sold by Carphone Warehouse.

Still, the price seems a bit steep – as a comparison the Samsung Galaxy S costs £415 SIM-free and is very close feature-wise to the Nexus S. Samsung is still undecided on whether the Galaxy S will get a Gingerbread update but at least it has a proper microSD card slot and HD video recording, which the Nexus S strangely lacks.

At first glance, even an expert might feel it’s the real deal and it does look real apart from a few cosmetic differences. They have tried their best to make the OS look the same too but not succeeded much in that aspect.

The screen is a 3.5″ touchscreen with 10000:1 contrast ratio and 320*480 pixels resolution. The main camera is 2 Megapixel and they claim the secondary camera to be 1.3 Megapixel but it is in reality a VGA camera. It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.

Although the company has yet to formalize a date for the launch of the handset that earlier this week was confirmed for AT&T customers of the Sprint network will be able to get the phone “soon” the company has said. The news means that the Google phone, which has been criticized for lack of poor sales will by the end of the year be available on all four of the major carriers in the US – T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and now Sprint. The “Nexus One will benefit from Sprint’s 3G network with twice the coverage of AT&T and 10 times the coverage of T-Mobile, both based on square miles,” said the company trying to convince Android fans who haven’t already got the phone to go with them over the competition.

However, before you start planning your day one line antics, the Nexus One will not be available in any Sprint retail channels. It will be available directly from Google at google.com/phone

Sprint says that it is still working on a pricing plan, however expects it to be in line with the company’s Sprint Everything Data 450 plan which costs $69.99.

Google’s semi-secret Nexus One handset has been more or less exhaustively leaked at this point, with very few cats left to let out of the bag. The only two major points left were the tech specs and the release date – and now, even those have made their way out.

Not only did they share the above spec sheet, but they also mentioned that Google’s planning on selling the Nexus One on an invite-only basis come January 5th.

What exactly that entails, we’ve got no idea. Who gets an invite? Certainly not Google employees – they already have the handsets. Long time Google app users? Members of the Android development community? Dudes named Greg who write about cell phones on the Internet all day? Either way, we just Google opens up sales to everyone before too long.

Google has released a minor update for their operating system for cell phones, Android. The new version is 2.0.1 and the changes it brings along are aimed at developers rather than end users. The company fixed several known bugs of edition 2.0 and included a brand new SDK pack. Google also stated that all Android 2.0 handsets would get their update to the new version by the end of this year, but the only such device at this time is the Motorola DROID (MILESTONE in Europe). As we already reported, Verizon had also announced an upcoming patch for the DROID to update it to Android 2.0.1 coming December. The current news has actually shattered the recent rumor about Android 2.1 rolling out December 11 to pieces, but hope springs eternal, doesn´t it? We won´t be surprised at the least to see Google announce Android 2.1 next week, but delay its official release until 2010.
