This Asus E600 went into the FCC with a 4 inch screen, 5.2 megapixel camera, and 850/1900MHz bands, making it a CDMA only phone unfortunately. No word about the internals of the device yet, but we presume the standard 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM.

With all these devices coming out in various sizes, could Windows Phone 7 become fragmented? Probably not as of yet, as the standards Microsoft set were very strict for WP7 phones. 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and 800×480 resolution screen, and this is also the code app developers have to run by, so you don’t get any issues you see on just about every Android device, and the iPhone and iPhone 4. The Asus E600 looks like nothing too new, but it is a good step into the smartphone game for the well-known computer manufacturer.

Being a navigation centric phone it provides for several modes of navigation including in-car navigation and pedestrian navigation.  The Android smartphone provides an offline navigation experience at par with full fledged navigation systems. The smartphone comes with a 5MP camera and a memory card slot which supports upto 16GB of data.

The Garmin-Asus A10 available in major metro cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata at INR 18,990/-.

Of course its focus is again on GPS navigation; however more so for pedestrians rather than drivers which probably means it’s probably not going to make it to the U.S. where driving almost always takes precedence. The press release actually says it will be available in mid-2010 in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Garmin-Asus A10 features a 3.2″ touch screen, electronic compass and a 1500mAh battery. Depending on your location the A10 will contain preloaded maps so you won’t have to rely on a data connection for maps which can be non-existent or just too expensive to use. Of course Garmin-Asus A10 will also work in your vehicle too – thanks to the powered audio mount.

Some other features of A10 include WebKit browser with multi-touch, 5MP camera with auto-focus, and auto-geotag, built-in accelerometer for horizontal and landscape views.

In India the nuvifone M10 comes with preinstalled map data (provided by Nokia’s wholly-owned subsidiary Navteq) for 62 of tthe country’s largest cities and offers turn-by-turn voice guided navigation with junction view and lane assist. The added Ciao feature allows you to check the location of your traveling friends.

The specs sheet of nuvifone M10 includes a 600MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM memory, support for HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is also a 5-megapixel autofocus snapper as well as a 4GB internal storage on board.

The Garmin-Asus nuvifone M10 can be purchased across India for 19 990 Indian rupees (approximately 450 US dollars or 330 euros) which sounds like a fair initial price tag for a phone packing all those features.

Garmin-Asus announced that its M20 smartphone is now available with Windows Mobile 6.5, thus featuring a revamped interface, Microsoft MyPhone, Windows Marketplace for Mobile and other new things.

Already available in some markets around the world, the Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 with WM 6.5 will be launched by the end of 2009 in the following countries: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Turkey Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic and so on.

Starting today (November 11), users who bought the M20 with Windows Mobile 6.1 can upgrade it to WM 6.5 on Garmin-Asus’ website.

Apart from Windows Mobile 6.5, the features of M20 include a VGA touchscreen display, HSDPA, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and a 3.2MP camera.

It’s been a while since we last heard about Asus’ Android plans, and if you were worried that the Taiwan-based company has forgot about Google’s mobile OS, well, it didn’t.

While its Taiwanese neighbor Acer has already announced its first Android phone (the Liquid A1), Asus hasn’t provided too many details about its own Android handset. However, Asus’ chairman Johnny Shih has recently reconfirmed that the company will introduce an Android phone this year.

It’s not clear yet if the Android phone Johnny Shih talks about will be launched under the Garmin-Asus brand, or if it’s an Asus-only product.

Either way, Asus will probably come with an interesting phone that should help Google and Android conquer the mobile world.

While several shipping dates have come and gone, we’re still hopeful of seeing Garmin’s nuvifone in the flesh and on the street at some point in the future. If you’ve forgotten (and nobody would really blame you), the HSDPA, quad-band handset will boast GPS (of course), WiFi, Bluetooth, plus a full browser. The G60′s been available in Asia for some time now, and while a confirmed US launch has been much anticipated, no pricing has ever been announced. Rumors now abound that the device will carry a $300 price tag on contract, running about $550 without. Of course, it is just a rumor — and one that we hope is off base, too.
