The Motorola Droid 2 is not the only hot Android handset in town as Dell has finally decided to make the Streak available to the crowds. Unfortunately the tablet/smartphone will come to AT&T with Android 1.6 which is pretty disappointing for a device that wants to fight the top smartphones on the market.
Dell did say that Android 2.1 is coming soon, which is not Froyo but better than Donut. The Streak will cost $299 with a new 2-year contract, which is rather expensive, or $550 off contract.
The Dell Streak will offer a 5-inch display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G support, 1GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording, VGA front-facing camera, 2GB of internal storage, up to 32GB microSD cards support and plenty of social networking and Android apps support.
