During the large flurry of Windows Phone 7 devices to come out in a big hit, there were a few that were spotted, but not officially announced. It seems that Asus wants a piece of the smartphone game as well, and is kicking it off with a Windows Phone 7 device.
This Asus E600 went into the FCC with a 4 inch screen, 5.2 megapixel camera, and 850/1900MHz bands, making it a CDMA only phone unfortunately. No word about the internals of the device yet, but we presume the standard 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM.
With all these devices coming out in various sizes, could Windows Phone 7 become fragmented? Probably not as of yet, as the standards Microsoft set were very strict for WP7 phones. 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and 800×480 resolution screen, and this is also the code app developers have to run by, so you don’t get any issues you see on just about every Android device, and the iPhone and iPhone 4. The Asus E600 looks like nothing too new, but it is a good step into the smartphone game for the well-known computer manufacturer.
