According to the The Wall Street Journal, South Korea and Apple have reached an agreement to bring Apple’s popular smartphone, the iPhone 4, to South Korean consumers. KT Corp, the country’s largest wireless company, has an exclusive contract to offer Apple’s iPhones but has stated that the iPhone 4 will take a few months to reach its shores. KT currently offers Apple’s iPhone 3GS.
“The government’s approval is just a regular procedure and it normally takes about one or two months to talk about business matters before launching any new handset device in the market,” said KT spokesman Lee In-won. “We will try our best to launch iPhone 4 sometime in September.”
