Acer made a number of announcements which included some new Android tablets and a new smartphone. Acer’s latest smartphone, currently unnamed, is powered by Android and sports a 4.8-inch LED backlit display with a 1024 x 480 pixel resolution.
The device is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, offers 6-axis motion sensing for gaming, and has an 8MP camera with LED flash. There’s also a secondary front-facing 2MP camera for video calling.
Acer’s new smartphone also offers HSDPA 14.4 connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n support, and Bluetooth 3.0. There’s even an HDMI port for outputting media to an HD TV.
The new device should be shipping globally beginning in April 2011.
